CALL FOR PAPERS
You are invited to submit your proposal for a presentation at Congress 2019 organized by the Canadian Criminal Justice Association(CCJA) and the Societe de Criminologie du Quebec (SCQ). This event will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the CCJA which inspired the theme of 100 years of criminal justice. Your submissions will be accepted until the Updated Deadline on December 21, 2018.
This national event will be taking place November 6-9 2019 in Quebec City at the scenic Concorde Hotel. Make plans to attend this event, learning and networking opportunity, meeting professionals like you who work to improve our communities. You will have an opportunity to discuss the most recent research results, share best practices and create partnerships in various aspects of criminal justice.
The CCJA, the SCQ and the planning committee invite researchers, students, practitioners, managers and policy leaders to submit presentation proposals touching one or more of the sub-themes noted below. Please note that the elements within the sub-themes are not exclusive and other subjects can be added if they are connected with scholarship and interventions in criminology or justice.

PRESENTATION TYPES
Workshops
90-minute sessions including a question period will be provided for individuals or groups of 3 or 4 to discuss related topics. Interaction with attendees is especially encouraged.
Short Presentations
These will be limited to 20 minutes and may be grouped with other related presentations to form a workshop.
Scholarly Poster Presentations
Documentaries, Short Film, Podcasts
90-minute sessions to inform and share experiences related to the Congress sub-themes. Discussion time should be built in.
Institutional and Programme Visits
These can be scheduled for up to 3 ½ hours in order to educate delegates on interesting programmes for specific clientele. Organizations offering institutional visits should preferably provide transportation and indicate the number of delegates that can be received.
Note: Presentations can take many forms- debates, lectures, presentation of research results, innovative projects, artistic initiatives, specific communities, etc. In all cases, audience participation should be emphasized. Presentations may be made in English, French or both. Plenaries and some individual sessions will be translated simultaneously.
SUBMISSION PROCESS

Please complete the form available on the website of the CCJA or the SCQ.
Priority will be given to submissions directly related to the Congress sub-themes. If your presentation is beyond these themes, it will be judged based on its importance, its scholarly value and its practical impact.
Instructions
- All presenters must register and pay the congress registration fees as in the program.
- Should you be unable to attend you must find a replacement in order to not disrupt the Congress programme.
- Preference will be given to presenters attending all sessions in order to stimulate discussion and networking.
