DESCRIPTION:5th Biennial Alberta Criminal Justice Symposium: \nConsidering New Approaches to Rehabilitation and Correctional Reform \nEdmonton\, Alberta\nMay 7 – 9\, 2019 \nAlthough attitudes to\, and practices of\, criminal justice implementation have improved dramatically\nover the past century\, there remain many aspects of the criminal justice system in the western world\nthat still require new ways of thinking and implementation. These include effective rehabilitation\,\ncreative correctional practices and evidence-based approaches and practices that significantly prevent\ncriminological behaviour or reduce recidivism.
